Chapter & Subplot Worksheets

This week, it’s two-for-one on worksheets! Why? Because they’re basically the same worksheet with a different title.

Although the shape of the worksheet is essentially the same, the way in which you use them might be significantly different (it is for me) so I have included examples for both the worksheets (links are listed below). With a bit of luck, these will making planning a little easier! The way I use them, I plan story-wide subplots on one sheet and then finer details of each chapter on the other. Of course, the chapter ones are just a guide – sometimes it pays to stretch this pattern over two chapters or end on a cliffhanger. I find chapters can be fairly arbitrary really – sometimes they fall naturally. Sometimes, they don’t.

As always, don’t stress over it and enjoy!
