Ever struggle to visualise your settings? Try do a little planning for each place your characters need to visit.
It’s all too easy to skip over the settings, but they are just as important as your plot and your characters. Sometimes, a simple change of setting can change the whole tone of a story. Imagine if Miss Havisham’s mansion in Great Expectations had not been in a state of disrepair. The story would not have had such a great impact – the character’s motivations wouldn’t have been so clear and Miss Havisham’s final change of heart probably wouldn’t have been so life changing for her.
As always, don’t stress over it and enjoy!
